Learn to Draft (Skirt Edition) | Monday Evenings | Adults | Starting January 5th

CA$525.00

In this drafting beginner-friendly 6-week intro course, you’ll learn how to draft your own skirt pattern from scratch — using your body measurements and a pencil, not a printer. All genders welcome!

We’ll start by drafting a custom-fit skirt block together, then sew and fit a test version (muslin) to fine-tune the shape. Once your block is perfected, we’ll dive into dart manipulation and design techniques that let you transform it into your dream skirt — gathered, princess seamed, flared, you name it.

This course is perfect for anyone curious about how patterns are made or looking to unlock new design freedom in their sewing practice. You’ll leave with a versatile skirt block and your own custom pattern.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Draft a skirt block from your own measurements

  • Adjust fit using a muslin mock-up

  • Rotate darts and reshape seams for design

  • Add waistbands, facings, and finishing touches

  • Turn your block into a custom skirt you’ll actually wear

Whether you want to make one perfect skirt or start designing your own wardrobe, this is where it begins.
